In addition to the performance of the hood Select Air Systems can provide additional hood trim to help dress out the hood to give a clean and professional look to your kitchen. Ordering these additional items with your hood system allows us to match the items to your specific needs and dressing out the hood to achieve the cleanest look possible. Some of the items that can be provided as an accessory to the hood include closure panels, wall panels, side skirts, inside/outside corners, cover strips etc.
- Closure Panels – These panels are used to close off the top of the hood vertically to protect and hide the ductwork and top of the hood. These vertical panels are custom made to fit your specific needs. Sometimes referred to as wrapper panels.
- Wall Panels– These panels are used to cover the walls below the hood. The general reason for these panels is to dress out the kitchen to give you a clean look while protecting the walls from grease and provides an easily cleanable surface. Wall panels also provide an additional layer of fire protection to a wall behind and to the sides of the cooking surfaces. Sometimes referred to as backsplash.
- Side Skirts– These panels are used to create a wall at the ends of the hood. Using side skirts can act as a means to protect additional surfaces the the left and right of the hood. In addition they can also reduce the amount of overhang needed at the end of the hood offering improved performance of the hood.
- Inside/Outside Corners– These are used when when you have two wall meeting in a corner. These will help by closing off the gap where the corner meets. When you order wall panels with your hood system we will provide these items as standard if needed.
- Cover Strips– These are used were you have two wall panels meet. With two types available store bought and standard. Included with every wall panel order.
